At the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, the ONZA brand was well known to all mountain bikers. Offering products such as bar ends, click pedals and the legendary white Porcupine tires, the brand with the prickly porcupine in its logo was visible on almost every mountain bike.
After a lean period and two changes of ownership, the brand disappeared completely from the market during the 1990s. In 2006, Michel Manz, the current owner of the ONZA brand, was inspired to revive the epic brand – as a manufacturer of bicycle tires and inner tubes. This product category was one that Manz, as a longstanding importer of the Maxxis tire brand, knew inside out. What started out as an idea between friends is now marketed in 29 countries around the globe. Thanks to a clearly structured product portfolio and top-quality, visually understated tires, the ONZA Tires brand has become established in just a few years.
